| Learning and Development Manager
The SAPREF Refinery, jointly owned by Shell SA Refining and BP Southern Africa, is the largest crude oil refinery in sub-Saharan Africa, with a refining capacity of 8.5 million tonnes per year. Situated in Durban South, the refinery is organised into a number of production units manufacturing a variety of petroleum products.

| Long description | This is a key position responsible for developing a learning environment where employees can develop their competences and skills such that they can use these to reach their potential and contribute to the successful performance of the refinery and growth of the organization.
The successful candidate will report to the Organizational Sustainability Manager and will work closely with senior stakeholders, manage a team of learning specialists, manage budget, represent the site in industry training forums as well as identify if additional leadership or other training is needed.
REQUIREMENTS:
•a Degree preferably in a Technical Discipline or a minimum of 15 years’ working experience in Learning & Development preferably including 5 years’ in the energy/oil/chemical industry
• extensive expertise in preparation and development of learning and development programmes for all levels in a highly technical, manufacturing environment
• strong leadership and interpersonal skills as well as a high level communications skills.
